New Patient Appointments

At Surrey Foot Service, we provide specialist podiatry care to diagnose and treat a wide range of foot and ankle problems. If you’re a new patient, we offer two appointment types to ensure you get the right treatment.

NB. This is a bespoke assessment appointment tailored to your specific needs and may vary depending on your foot or ankle problem. The podiatrists at Surrey Foot Service are highly experienced in musculoskeletal conditions and assessments. This is primarily an assessment appointment to inform an extensive treatment plan agreed with you, in order to get you back on your feet. We will usually recommend further treatments and/or interventions as outlined above depending on your needs and may start the treatment in this appointment if appropriate.

If you know you would like 3D Gait Analysis you can book straight in for a comprehensive assessment package.

It includes everything in the New Patient (Pain & Injury) Appointment above as well as a 3D gait analysis with detailed report, Footscan pressure plate, footwear assessment, stretching and strengthening regime, and we may recommend insoles or orthotics if appropriate. This package includes the 3D gait analysis appointment, insole fitting appointment (if required) and follow-up appointment at between 6-12 weeks.

We use the latest 3D gait analysis technology (Run 3D & Walk3D) to accurately measure movements at the hip, pelvis, knees and ankles whilst you are walking and/or running. This dynamic assessment helps us identify in detail any asymmetrical movements or abnormal patterns in your gait, and which structures are being overloaded, underused or compensating, which can’t be seen through video or visual assessment.

We assess joint range of movement (using goniometers), tendon and muscle strength (using dynamometers) and ligament flexibility (using inclinometers) to measure accurately each aspect of the static test which informs your treatment plan.

We produce a report combining the static and dynamic tests, to accurately pinpoint what your joints, muscles and limbs are doing as you take each step. This further informs our treatment plan and your outcome goals.

If you are unsure if you require this appointment please book a New Patient (Pain & Injury) Appointment and if appropriate, we will refer you on for a 3D gait analysis assessment. (Please note if we refer you for 3D gait analysis the cost is less than the full package advertised as we will already collect data and perform detailed assessments in your initial appointment).

Don’t let foot and problems hold you back. Get expert care and start your journey to pain-free movement.
